Soya Kheema Recipe

There are days when I just don't feel like cooking, at that time something as easy as Soya Keema recipe is my my go to! It's very easy, quick to make and rich in protein!





For making soya keema for 2 people you will need -

Oil - 3-4 tbsp
Onions -1 large onion
Ginger garlic paste - 1½ tbsp
Green chilli paste -1 tbsp
Red chilli powder - 1-2 tbsp
Coriander powder - 1 tbsp
Garam masala - 1 tbsp
Tomato Puree - 2 tbsp
Green peas - 1 small cup
Capsicum - 1 small - chopped
Soya granuels - 1 cup
Water 2 cup
Salt to taste

Start by boiling a cup of soya granules in water for 5-6 minutes. Drain the water and squeeze every bit of water from the soya granules. 

In a pan add oil, finely chopped onions and add some salt, the salt will help the onion to cook faster and give a nice brown color to the onions.

add green chili paste, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala and let it cook for some time.


Then add tomato puree


Let it simmer till oil starts leaving the mixture


Then add green peas


Capsicum


Now add soya granuels, water then cover it and let it cook for 3-4 min.


I like eating it with rotis (flat bread) or bread and dry garlic chutney.


These make great leftovers! Just wrap it in roti, add dressing of your choice, roll it and pack it for lunch!
