Decorative Plates as Wall Art - Part II

Thank you so much for all the love on my previous home decor post! (Incase, you are new to the blog and you haven't seen it yet, you can find it here).

This post is all about how you can display these decorative plates, some tricks and tools required!

You might want to start with how you want your plates to be displayed.

Behind Plate Rack: Do you want it behind the rack? Making plate rack is a very practical option, in case you also use it occasionally when the guests arrive.

Cluster : A colorful cluster of decorative plates adds visual interest.

Symmetrical : The arrangement of white and blue in perfect symmetry is an attractive set up display over a mantel.

Simple yet Sophisticated : There is something very beautiful about white plates and fuss free arrangement for an easy look.

Flowing pattern : Give a flowing pattern or a sweeping curvy effect to make a decorative statement.

Once you decide the pattern and have a mental picture of your mosaic.

Start by laying a craft paper on the floor.

Play around with the arrangement of the plates on the paper. Once the design (whether cluster, symmetry, asymmetrical) is finalized, trace the plates onto the paper.

Now, place the traced paper on the wall, this will serve as a guide for placing the actual plates.
