Penne Arrabbiata With Garlic Bread

My Sister LOVES pasta. So the other day she requested ordered me to make some for her. This time I made with Arrabbiata sauce and some crunchy garlic bread.






For Penne Rigate:
2 cups
water
1 tsp oil

For the Arrabbiata Sauce:
1/4 cup olive oil
1 onion chopped finely
5-6 garlic finely chopped /
6 - 7 fresh tomatoes
1 tsp chilly flakes
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp parsley
1 tsp Italian seasoning

Method:

Cook the pasta as per package direction and  then drain.
(Incase the package directions is written in some alien language all you have to do is boil penne in plenty of water and a teaspoon of oil till its cooked. Drain the water and set aside to cool)





For Blanching the tomatoes, mark a cross on raw tomatoes with the help of knife and let it boil in water for a minute. This will help in peeling off the tomato skin.






Heat oil in a pan, add onion and sauté till onions turn soft and translucent 


Add garlic and sauté it for half a minute



Add red chilly and pepper continue to mix.



In goes the chopped tomatoes. Add salt and Italian Seasoning.

Let it cook for few minutes till the mixture gets sauce consistency.



Add in Parsley





Add penne and mix it gently.



And its ready my friend!


Serve it in a bowl with some Parmesan Cheese and Garlic Bread. (garlic bread recipe here)
